This subtly decorated classic shoe is the ever-popular Derby with an open 5-hole lacing. Only the quarters feature a fine Lyra perforation, while the modern character comes from the use of the upper leather material - a soft calf suede. Unlike the usual suede leathers, calf suede is not split cowhide, but a full calf leather that is processed with the flesh side facing out. Since calf suede can be easily brushed and wiped with a damp cloth, the full leather shoe can also be worn in bad weather. The slightly tapered last shape is suitable for the average and slim foot.

No less than Edward VIII first combined a suede shoe with a suit and freed the former leisure shoe from its previously very limited area of use. Today, a handcrafted and Goodyear welted Derby made of velvety soft calf suede can be combined with both modern business attire and jeans and chinos in leisure time.
