Traditional oak bark tanning – A tradition that takes time

Our soles owe their exceptional quality to the traditional method of old-fashioned tanning, which extends over up to nine months. The Kilger tannery in Lower Bavaria relies on purely plant-based tanning with oak, spruce and mimosa bark as well as the valonea fruit.

  • Natural water resistance and dimensional stability
  • Flexibility and lightweight design for maximum wearing comfort.
  • Unique durability thanks to centuries-old tanning methods.

Craftsmanship in every detail.

Each Dinkelacker sole is manufactured with the utmost care. This includes traditional processing techniques that are rarely found in modern shoe production:

  • Hand-driven brass nails
Up to 168 nails per shoe protect the areas that are most heavily stressed.
  • Triple sole with 6-nailing and brass tip
An unmistakable quality feature that only Dinkelacker offers.
  • Hand-set boulevard studs
This provides additional protection against wear and tear on the toe of the shoe.
  • Nailed-on bumper plates
These reinforce the front part of the outsole, which is particularly prone to wear and tear.

Robustness and comfort with every step.

In high-quality shoes, the sole, heel, and footbed play an essential role. They gently cushion the impact and adapt to the wearer's foot over time.

  • Multi-layered sole construction for maximum stability.
  • Soft cork bed for an individual fit.
  • Carefully sharpened and waxed sole edges for a flawless finish.

Excellence down to the last detail.

Our soles are not only a sign of excellent craftsmanship, but also a statement for connoisseurs. Those who wear Heinrich Dinkelacker demonstrate a sense of style – even in the details. When crossing their legs in a café, the visually impressive boulevard sole or the artfully braided frame reveal themselves as a fine hallmark of unparalleled quality.
